Principal's Message
Welcome to Pathways Transition Center!
Pathways is a special education program that provides instruction and support for students who are 18-22 years of age and need to continue to develop their skills in the areas of independent living skills, vocational skills, and functional academic skills in order to be successful in reaching their post-secondary goals. Pathways is unique in the fact that students have already earned their high school diplomas, so we can focus on building skills that will help students to be successful as they leave school services behind.
I started as the principal of Pathways seven years ago. My other experiences in education include working as a teacher and assistant principal. I am truly honored to be able to lead such a unique program like Pathways. I am passionate about our program's mission and about supporting not only our students, but their families as well as they navigate into the post-secondary world.
We have an incredible group of dedicated staff members. They are truly caring professionals who work tirelessly to support our diverse student population every day. Getting to witness the collaboration between our students and staff is special; I love to see all of the small "wins" that our students make on a daily basis, and I love to see the professional growth and confidence of our staff.
I hope our students will continue to make progress toward their individualized goals, whether it be junior college, trade school, employment, or adult day programming.
